Why I write

People often ask me why a GP would decide to write psychological thrillers. The answer is simple: I've always been fascinated by people.

For many years, medicine has given me the privilege of listening to thousands of stories. Every person who walks through a consulting room brings with them hopes, fears, triumphs and secrets. While medicine treats illness, it also offers a remarkable window into human nature.

That curiosity has never left me. I've always wondered what motivates people, why good people sometimes make terrible decisions, and how a single choice can change the course of a life. Those questions eventually found their way onto the page.

Blackridge grew from that fascination. It's a story of trust, deception and the hidden forces that shape our decisions. Although the characters are fictional, the emotions that drive them are very real.

I hope this website becomes a place where I can share not only news about my books but also some of the thoughts, travels and experiences that continue to inspire my writing.

Thank you for joining me on the journey.
